About Breedio

Breedio started at home, with our own cats. My wife and I have four Sphynx cats – Cookie, Muffin, Oreo and Twix – and two of them have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). We take them for regular cardiology check-ups, give them medication every day and keep an eye on their weight. We also like to know how much their care actually costs us.

Keeping all of that in a notebook, on our phones and in spreadsheets stopped working. So I started building an app just for us: one place for health records, medication, weights and expenses, with reminders when something is due.

While building it, I realised that many other people deal with the same problem – and breeders have it even harder, with pedigrees, matings, litters and kitten sales on top. So in February 2026 we founded Breedio Technologies s.r.o. and launched the first version of Breedio as a web app.

Around the turn of April and May 2026 we released the Android and iOS apps. Since then we have been travelling to cat shows, showing Breedio to breeders and listening to what would help them. We have also entered a show ourselves once, so we know shows from the exhibitor’s side too.

We build Breedio as people who care for their animals every day. That is why what matters most to us is that the app saves time and helps keep animals healthy.
